I. Iceland has lots of beautiful scenery and landscape. In
autumn the vivid colours of the vegetation, flowers and plants clash with the
grey and brown of stone and lava. The AUTUMN gallery contains a few photos taken on
an autumn day of flowers, trees, birds, mountain, lava and whatever else caught
the eye of the photographer.
II. Often called Land of the Midnight Sun because of its 24 hours of sunlight at Midsummer Iceland can often
boast of beautiful sunsets. The SUNSET gallery features photos of a spectacular sunset from Oskjuhlid in Iceland's capital Reykjavik.
III. The word GEYSER in the English language is taken from the Icelandic name of a hot spring
in Haukadalur named Geysir. The GEYSER gallery featured here is a photo gallery of Geysir and the surrounding area.
IV. The HAFNARFJORDUR gallery a collection of photos from the town of Hafnarfjörður in south-western Iceland,
The word Hafnarfjordur is a concoction of the words hafnar (meaning harbour) and fjordur (meaning fjord). Its name
comes from its natural harbour that has been used since the times of the Vikings.
V. SNOW PICTURES is a collection of photos from the first day of autumn snow.
VI. The GRINDAVIK gallery features photos from the village of Grindavik, in the south-west of Iceland. Here you can see pictures of houses, fishing boats and more.
