Seagulls are very numerous and noticeable in the coastal regions of Iceland.
Featured here are a few beautiful birds spreading their wings
and enjoying the cool sea breeze.
One of the more beautiful species of Seagulls
is Hettumafur (Larus ridibundus)
which breeds over a vast arena spanning Greenland, through Western-
Europe to Asia. It can be recognized
by a dark brown or grayish-black hood over
its head.
